There are a number of articles that list ways to grow an author following on Pinterest, and that is all good and fine.
But this intro isn’t about that –

It’s about how to sell your book with Pinterest.

Pinterest is a treasure trove for promoting books, because it is still quite undersaturated by businesses, and especially by authors.

The reason Pinterest works so well for authors is because it is a search engine, not a social media platform. People do not visit to converse and be social with each other; they come to search for specific things. And because of this direct searching, this unique platform remains a fantastic selling resource.

I know a few authors who are killing it with Pinterest and, as a result, have completely abandoned Facebook Ads and PPC (pay-per-click) advertising for good.

Let’s cut to the chase: If your ultimate goal is getting people to buy your book, your pins involve some targeted strategy.

Pins that drive conversions involve more than just pinning a book cover with a direct link.

There’s an actionable art and science to this process, and I show authors how it’s done so they can simply rinse, repeat, and reap the benefits.
